IL2 Air Attack Server(s) Rules

Welcome to our server rules. We keep things simple since we are here to have fun, be apart of challenging flights, and meet other members of the community.

Zero Tolerance For Vulger, Racial, or Harassment.
Be respectful. We all share the same passion for the game. Some smack talk in online gaming is ok but don’t get nasty. Vulgar words, racial slurs, insults, harassing others are forbidden and will be dealt with accordingly.
Attacking grounded players is not allowed
Attacking enemy players on the ground is not allowed. While airfields should not be considered “Safe“, being shot while your engine spools up are not allowed. Once players have taken off and are out of their Safe Zone area, then they are valid targets. If you’re not sure, then don’t shoot.
No Ramming, Runwaying and Strafing
Ramming, Runwaying and Strafing is not allowed and can result in a ban. Anyone unfamiliar with these terms can ask an admin to explain in more detail.
Play Fair, Don't Exploit
Exploiters will be warned, then banned. Play fair. If you find something unbalanced or broken, please let the server admins know so we can fix it.

Safe Zones: What Are They & How Do They Work?

This is an area where you pilots can safely take off and gain alt before entering the fight. Enemy planes may circle this area but they are not allowed to enter unless they are bombing the base. Fighter bombers like the P38 may bomb the base but they cannot engage fighters that are within the Safe Zone.

Can a Fighter escort a bomber into the Safe Zone as long as the enemy is high enough in the air not to be a threat?

Yes, as long as the fighter does not strafe or runway the opposing team.

Can a fighter take off in their Safe Zone, shoot at fighters on the outside of the Safe Zone, and then go right back in the Safe Zone as a layer of protection?
If you are fired on by an enemy in the safe zone you, are allowed to defend yourself, and both fighters are fair game.
Does the Safe Zone cover planes landing at their own base or does it only pertain to planes taking off?
Nothing changes if it’s their own base. It’s for the Enemy fighters in an attempt to stop them strafing or runwaying.
Is a plane protected in their own Safe Zone and are free to turn and gain altitude before leaving the Safe Zone or is there an altitude limit?

Yes, alt limit is 2,000 feet/609 Meters.
